Had one of the best nights of my time in Europe so far last night. Lake lodge in iseltwald, Switzerland. Sneak into the country and stay, forever going up. Spent the day in Griseltwald with my head at a 50 degree slant staring at massive mountains. All of them I wish I could spell. Jungjochfrau? Not that long, but that tall, all vowels included. First time I have missed Colorado since being here. I need mountains in my life. They make me want to live healthier. Be the best me. Snow capped mountains inviting me to try to climb them. The world is a beautiful park filled with spotted swiss cows with bells that clang with grace upon each step and each blade of grass eaten. I need to find a way to live the life that draws me in. I need money. I may never know how much. Me and Auroras hostel in Iseltwald was amazing. A cozy wooden room on the top floor (3rd) with a balcony overlooking the lake. So quiet. Only the sound of birds landing in the water, creating a ripple that spreads all the way to us. A perfect moment in a park beach encapsulated in time. Perhaps many moments of love shared here, from start to end, but this here was mine. Walking the one road around the lake with her, sharing a beer. Dinner of boiled water poured into yaki soba. A South Korean couple eating the same thing. They brought theirs from Korea, amazed we were able to find it here. Purchased in the train station. Me and Aurora sit in bed and talk about life, moments not worrying about where we are going. We're here. And now as i write this, i was there. Once in time, just 12 hours ago. I was there. On the 3rd floor of the lake lodge. Forever encapsulated in sheets of bliss with my love, aurora. Things may change and I will grow old. But never forget these moments you've shared. It's often felt like fantasy. I believe the good that you put out into the world comes back to you in some form, I am unsure what I did to deserve such good. Karma is just. And now. Now it is the morning after. I awake at 6am to catch a bus from Iseltwald to interlaken in the still dark and starry morning. Me and 3 other brave souls take the bus to the station, then the train to spiez. I attempt to get a train ticket from spiez to milan, no luck, all full. Roll with it. My only obligation is to attend my creative writing class at 3:20pm. Hopefully I can find a connecting train in Domodossola, just over the Italian border. Only time will tell and nothing I do will change it. I'll get there eventually, perhaps arriving too late and one step closer to being kicked out of my study abroad program. 3 absences allowed. I woke up at 6am for this? In a train filled with people loudly speaking languages foreign to my ears, waiting to arrive in a place I've never been before. Only to be herded onto a train that hopefully gets me closer to Florence. I'm not so good at beginnings, really only endings. I hope this is creative enough.
